Our Process
Step #1
CONSULTATION
We begin with a 30-45 minute consultation to discuss your vision.
During this meeting, we will:
-
Review your needs and preferences
-
Discuss general style and material options
-
Survey the landscape
-
Gather information to create a loose design and establish a build budget

Step #2
BUDGET & PROPOSAL
Based on the consultation, we will provide an initial scope of work, budget proposal, and material options. This typically includes add-on options for additional features or material upgrades.
Step #3
PROJECT PLANNING, SCHEDULING & PREPARATION
We refine the details of each project component, finalize material selections, and establish the timeline and payment terms. If a design fee is required, a design and planning deposit will be made.
Project Planning Steps:
-
Measure and photograph the site
-
Create a scaled, plan-view drawing of the hardscape and general planting areas
-
Review, edit, and refine the draft drawing
-
Produce a revised budget/proposal reflecting the confirmed scope of work
Scheduling Steps:
-
Confirm the project timeline
-
Finalize material selections
-
Produce a detailed construction plan
-
Conduct a site visit to review the layout
Pre-Construction Preparation:
-
Assemble material photos and samples
-
On-site layout of hardscape and elevations
-
Source and order hardscape materials
-
Create final hardscape construction drawings

Step #4
BUILD
We bring your vision to life!
This phase includes:
-
Creating final construction drawings
-
Contacting Dig Safe for underground utilities
-
Conducting a pre-inspection kickoff with installation crews
-
Establishing a detailed on-site layout
-
Executing the project with continuous communication, including updated sketches and renderings to adapt to intricate features or site conditions

Step #5
WALKTHROUGH & FOLLOW UP
Upon project completion, we will walk through the finished space together to:
-
Review all features and discuss care instructions
-
Ensure everything meets your expectations
-
Plan a follow-up visit to confirm that everything is looking and functioning just right
